Abercrombie&Fitch lo resero glamour grazie ai bei ragazzi che l’indossavano tutto l’anno,ma il plaid torna sempre sulle passerelle di moda e eccolo di nuovo per questa stagione!

Abercrombie& Fitch made it glamourous with its hot boys wearing it all year long, but plaid randomly comes back to fashion weeks and this season here it is again!

CURIOSITA’ :

-Nel III secolo DC per gli Scozzesi il tartan simboleggiava valori nobili. Era usato per identificare le differenti regioni e clan scozzesi.

Eta’ vittoriana: era associato all’aristocrazia e al mondo militare britannico. Divenne esclusivo.

Anni 60: Il tartan rappresenta lo stile dandy. Era usato per vestiti dalle forme geometriche con motivi colorati come il giallo,blu,verde e viola invece che il solito rosso.

Anni 70: Il tartan e’ il simblo della protesta sociale contro la cultura urbana.

Anni 80: Viene adornato con zip e catene e diventa emblema della cultura punk e di un look collegiale non proprio innocente.

Anni 90: Il plaid e’ associato alla musica grunge. Le camice da boscaiolo usate da Nirvana e Pearl Jam avevano motivi tartan.

Da li’ in poi e’ sempre stato considerato un trend.

CURIOSITY:

-In 3rd century A. C. by the Scottish tartan standed for noble values. It was used to identify different regions and clans in the Scottish highlands.

Victorian Age: It was associated to aristocracy and Bristish military world. It became really exclusive.

60’s: Tartan standed for the British dandy look. It was used for geometric dress with bright yellow, blue, green and purple patterns instead of the typical red ones.

70’s: Tartan is the symbol of a social protest against the urban culture.

80’s: It got decorated with zips and chains and became a symbol of punk style as well as not so innocent college look.

90’s: Plaid is associated to grunge music. Lumberjack plaid shirts were worn by Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

-From then on tartan has always been considered as a trend.
